Professional Stages – main activities, successes or projects

Following his apprenticeship with Jacky Maeder in Basel, Andreas Obermeyer was put in charge of various assignments within the Basel branch, were he made relevant contributions towards the development of new business.

He acquired a wide knowledge in the shipping business with Nedagencies AG in Basel as manager of the department Crosstrades, North America and Middle East. He gathered initial experience in the development of Logistic Concepts as manager Logistics Switzerland with former company Schenker-Witag.

At Danzas Management Ltd Andreas Obermeyer was instrumental in the development of new process-oriented computer software regarding truck fleets and handling/storage, as well as the drafting of a standard workflow  for the establishment and operation of terminal operations and the organization of truck fleets. His duties covered measures of reorganization and restructuring of truck fleets and handling/storage as well the evaluation of locations.

As CEO of TransCare Switzerland Ltd he participated in significant projects in various European countries as Project Officer. His project experience is based on:

• Conceptual consulting and support in realizing outsourcing projects
  
• Development of logistic process chains independent of carriers
  
• Evaluation and optimization of logistics processes in the field of transport and storage
• Evaluation of existing, or strategic repositioning of locations as well as handling and storage, search for and negotiation with service providers.
• Market surveys and assessments and the company-specific marketing strategies deriving thereof.

Andreas Obermeyer actively looks after our Swiss customer base and has a particular focus on the Railway industry.
